Sometimes teachers were not in class to teach, because they have to go for courses , meeting, medical leave etc.

Relief timetable will be done so that each class will have a teacher to oversee the running of the class.

As the principal, I always volunteered myself to go to the class to relief the absent teacher.

Usually I gave them motivational talk

One day, I was given a class to relief. 45 students . 20 boys and 25 girls . Mediocre achievement.

My motivational talk was on achievement.

“There are three ways to achieve something better in order to change your life.”

“Number one is through education. Study hard and smart. Get good results. If your father is a gardener – you must at least be the owner of a nursery with a tall order of landscaping offices, homes etc. If your father is a constable in the police force, you at least, must be an inspector or OCPD with the ambition to be the Chief Police of the Nation.”

“Number two is to inherit the wealth of your parents if your parents are rich. But remember , you must also have a good education to be able to handle or to manage your inheritance or else all the wealth will be gone in no time.”

“Number three is by getting married to a rich man/lady . But bear this in mind .Girls please don’t marry other people’s husband just because he is rich. The best is to marry a man with future ( good education and good job). Built up a life together. Be rich together.”

Suddenly this girl stood up and said,

“But teacher, what is so wrong about marrying other people’s husband. We are not taking away their husband , we are just sharing him “

Huh!

CIKGUTANYA: She was 16 then. Maybe at present she is the 2nd or 3rd wife of someone rich.
